WAPDA staff was involved in the HDSFC technique applied to Inventory control in which the following areas were covered:

Material requirement (Planning & Assessment)
Preparation of tender Documents
Prequalification of Vendors, Calling & opening tenders
Adjudication of Bids
Approvals, Award of Contracts, Preparation of Purchase Order
Import License, Import Permit , Opening of L/C, Custum Clearance, Demurrage and Material Forwarding
Material Receipt , Warehousing and issue.

The HDSFC technique is means of improving and standardizing Systems & procedures for eventual ease of computerization.
